Role Overview
The Country Director, Brazil, leads the full end-to-end business operations in one of the company's most strategic beauty markets globally. This position carries full P&L responsibility and is accountable for business growth, brand leadership, and organizational performance in Brazil across all commercial channels.
The role encompasses direct oversight of integrated sales and marketing teams, key account management, in-market supply chain operations, and consumer activation. The Country Director acts as the primary interface between global/regional strategy and in-market execution—delivering market-relevant growth while staying aligned with global brand direction.
This is a key leadership role in cosnova's path to global market leadership and the vision to double the business in the coming decade. The candidate will have a strong market understanding and leadership track record, with a people-first, bias to action mentality to drive healthy, long-term brand growth and building and nurturing a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Ownership & Strategy
- Define and execute a growth-focused commercial strategy for Brazil, aligned with global brand and innovation plans.
- Deliver revenue, profitability, and market share targets with full ownership of the country P&L.
- Anticipate market trends, identify growth opportunities, and lead bold, insight-driven business decisions.
- Strong stakeholder management with Global HQ. Fully understand and embody the cosnova business model.
2. Commercial & Channel Execution
- Lead and integrate Sales, Marketing, Trade, and Digital functions to drive excellence in market execution.
- Build strong partnerships with national and regional (e-)retailers, ensuring joint business planning and operational excellence.
- Ensure a high-performing omnichannel strategy with tailored execution across mass, pharmacy, e-commerce, and specialty beauty.
3. Consumer & Brand Leadership
- Champion brand equity and relevance in the Brazilian consumer landscape, balancing global positioning with local insight.
- Oversee 360° marketing and media planning to maximize awareness, conversion, and loyalty.
- Drive speed to market, innovation adoption, and portfolio agility.
4. People & Organization
- Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing cross-functional local team.
- Promote a culture of empowerment, accountability, and collaboration.
- Attract and retain top local talent aligned with business values and performance mindset.
5. Operations & Governance
- Supervise in-market operations, customer service, and supply coordination to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Ensure business compliance with local laws, financial standards, and corporate policies.
- Collaborate closely with regional and global stakeholders for alignment and capability development.
Profile & Qualifications
- 10+ years of senior commercial leadership experience in beauty, FMCG, or consumer goods.
- Proven success managing large-scale P&L and cross-functional teams in complex, competitive markets.
- Deep understanding of Brazil's retail, e-commerce, and consumer behavior landscape.
- Strong strategic mindset, operational excellence, and leadership impact.
- Fluent Portuguese and English required.
