Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, with over 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.
Netflix derives a significant competitive advantage from the analytical approach it takes to manage all aspects of the business. As we continue to push for growth and retention in the LATAM region, we are looking for a Manager to join our Partnerships F&S team. This role will be based in São Paulo and it includes limited travel (a few weeks per year) to partner locations in LATAM and our headquarters in Los Gatos, California.
Partnerships are a critical driver of growth for Netflix. The most common types of partnerships with local operators are bundles. These impact millions of members, and our analyses play a critical role in the assessment and ongoing strategy for those partnerships in the region. During negotiations, we provide guidance to the Business Development team using data and analysis. When partnerships are launched, we monitor their performance and search for best practices and areas of improvement. Finally, we work closely with our Product and Partner Engagement teams to determine which changes in the Netflix experience could improve the partnerships' impact.
Responsibilities
- Evaluating the financial impact of partnership opportunities (primarily bundles)
- Financial projections and scenario modeling
- Risk identification and mitigation strategies
- Advising the Business Development team during the negotiations
- Analyzing the performance of partnerships to extract actionable insights (e.g. best practices, areas of improvement)
- Conducting global analyses regarding bundle performance
- Creating insightful presentations that facilitate decision-making for internal stakeholders and external partners
- Partnering with the Product team to help identify/prioritize and assess the impact of initiatives (e.g. improving Netflix plan upgrades for bundles)
- Providing inputs to other teams working on partnerships initiatives (E.g. Data Science & Engineering, Consumer Insights)
- Developing industry expertise for Latam
Qualifications
Candidates are required to be highly analytical and effective communicators. Prior experience in management consulting or an equivalent analytical role is strongly preferred. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record of performing comprehensive analyses independently and proactively. They must thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a high level of intellectual curiosity, focus on generating results and exhibit the highest standards of integrity and ethics.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience, ideally in management consulting or similar field
- Extensive experience conducting quantitative analysis that leads to actionable insights
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills, but also able to work independently
- Adept at managing multiple projects and stakeholders
- Skilled in preparing effective presentations with clear narrative
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Excel skills (mandatory)
- Proficiency with Tableau and SQL a strong plus
- Fluency in Portuguese and English is a must and Spanish is a strong plus
- Bachelor's or master's degree with emphasis on coursework of a quantitative nature
Inclusion is a Netflix value and we strive to host a meaningful interview experience for all candidates. If you want an accommodation/adjustment for a disability or any other reason during the hiring process, please send a request to your recruiting partner.
We are an equal-opportunity employer and celebrate diversity, recognizing that diversity builds stronger teams. We approach diversity and inclusion seriously and thoughtfully. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, ancestry, national origin, caste, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or expression, age, disability, medical condition, pregnancy, genetic makeup, marital status, or military service.
