Responsibilities

Technical:

1. System Administration:

  • Installation, configuration, and maintenance of real-time data historian components.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving system issues.
  • Monitoring and optimizing system performance.

2. Data Management:

  • Configuration of data points and tags.
  • Ensuring data integrity and consistency.

3. Cyber Security:

  • Implementing security measures for the data historian system.
  • Managing user access and permissions.
  • Ensuring compliance with security policies.

4. Reporting and Visualization:

  • Creating and managing reports using visualization tools.
  • Developing dashboards and visualizations for data analysis.

IT Infrastructure:

1. Networking:

  • Network protocols and configurations.
  • Firewall setup.

2. Server Management:

  • Windows Server administration.
  • Virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).

3. Database Management:

  • SQL Server administration.
  • Database backup and recovery procedures.

4. Cloud Services:

  • Cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
  • Cloud-based data storage and management.

5. System Integration:

  • Integrate PI System with other enterprise systems.
  • API and web services.

Project Management:

  • Developing project plans and timelines.
  • Managing project schedules and deadlines.
  • Managing project budgets and costs.
  • Identifying and mitigating project risks.
  • Facilitating clear and effective communication among stakeholders.
  • Preparing and presenting project status reports.
