PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

We are excited to announce an opportunity to join the Consumption Controlling team within the Cloud Controlling CoE — a newly found team focusing on strategically important consumption-based business models like C2C, Public Cloud, or AI. This team will set the foundation for successful forecasting, steering and reporting of SAP's most prominent deals as well as business models of the future by providing exceptional reporting, analysis and governance across end-to-end finance and revenue processes.

We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive team player to help prevent revenue leakage, support revenue sensitive closing activities, and ensure the completeness and accuracy of C2C and consumption revenue. In this role, you will operate at the intersection of Controlling, Revenue Recognition, R2R, O2I and Operations — identifying financial risks, implementing controls, and supporting internal audits and compliance requirements.

If you're driven by problem-solving, value cross-functional collaboration, and want to make a real impact in a growing and dynamic environment — we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Assurance & Leakage Prevention

  • Design and execute controls to ensure revenue completeness and validate usage, pricing, and billing against contractual terms
  • Analyze usage, billing, and contractual data to validate financial inputs and identify discrepancies
  • Investigate and resolve root causes of revenue leakage
  • Partner with stakeholders to implement improvements that reduce financial risk

Closing and Reporting Activities

  • Support key closing activities (MEC/QEC/YEC) that impact revenue recognition, ensuring data integrity and accuracy
  • Ensure revenue inputs are complete and reliable during financial close
  • Maintain audit readiness and support SOX compliance related to revenue streams
  • Collaborate with Controlling, CFR, R2R, and O2I teams to align upstream and downstream data flows
  • Coordinate with audit and compliance teams for reporting and control validation

Governance and Process Collaboration

  • Work cross-functionally to ensure aligned and standardized processes across the revenue lifecycle
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects aimed at improving financial accuracy and automation
  • Document and continuously improve processes to enhance scalability and audit readiness

Qualification and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, or comparable degree.
• Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles (especially for consumption/SaaS models)

  • Experience in Revenue Assurance, Financial Controlling, or Audit
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a problem-solving mindset
  • Resilient under pressure, with the ability to manage high volumes of complex information
  • Proactive, self-driven, and committed to a continuous improvement mindset (zero-repeat culture)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to navigate cross-functional environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with SAP (e.g., RAR, CO/FI) is a plus
  • Experience with automation and data tools (e.g., KNIME, SAC, AI-assisted analysis) is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
