The Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Network Management and Cybersecurity Specialist to join our dynamic team. This is a critical role responsible for ensuring the robust security and optimal performance of our network infrastructure and data assets. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of both network operations and modern cybersecurity practices.

What You'll Do:

Network Management:

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable network architectures (LAN, WAN, VPN, cloud networks).
  • Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions for optimization.
  • Manage and configure network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, access points).
  • Perform routine network audits and ensure compliance with internal policies and industry best practices.
  • Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely resolution.
  • Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.

Cybersecurity:

  • Implement, monitor, and manage security tools such as EDR, SIEM, IAM, Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), and DLP.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analyses.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Respond to security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective measures.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
  • Administer user access controls, conduct periodic reviews, and enforce MFA and privileged access policies.
  • Participate in security awareness training initiatives for employees.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in network management and cybersecurity roles.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF).
  • Hands-on experience with network security appliances and concepts (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, endpoint security).
  • Proficiency in administering and securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP preferred).
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
  • Familiarity with incident response frameworks and vulnerability management processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in English.

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP.
  • Experience with GitOps, Terraform, or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
  • Contributions to open-source security projects.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
