Cloud Engineer

We're looking for a talented and passionate Cloud Engineer, to join CAF's to join CAF's Latin America Team.

As the Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions on AWS to meet business and technical requirements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure scalability, security, and high availability of cloud environments.

What you'll do

• Participate and collaborate with Team Planning of tasks
• Cost Management: Monitor and optimize AWS costs using tools like AWS Cost Explorer and Budgets
• Budgeting: Collaborate with teams to establish and manage budgets for cloud services.
• Cloud Cost Optimization: understand and reduce costs on cloud
• Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage AWS infrastructure services
• CI/CD Implementation: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and CDK.
• Automation: Automate deployment processes and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.

What you'll need

• AWS Proficiency
• Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage AWS infrastructure services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda).
• Networking Skills: Understand VPC setup, subnets, security groups, and load balancers.
• Monitoring and Logging: Use CloudWatch and CloudTrail for monitoring performance and logging events.
• Pipeline Development
• CI/CD Implementation: Build and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement infrastructure provisioning using tools such as AWS CDK or Terraform.
• Automation: Automate deployment processes and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
• FinOps (Financial Operations)
• Cost Management: Monitor and optimize AWS costs using tools like AWS Cost Explorer and Budgets.
• Budgeting: Collaborate with teams to establish and manage budgets for cloud services.
• Cost Allocation: Implement tagging strategies to track and allocate cloud costs to specific projects or departments.
• Collaboration and Communication
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure best practices are followed.
• Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for architecture, processes, and pipelines.
