About the Role

We are looking for a
Communications & Visibility Volunteer
who will help ALUME
share its mission with the world
.

You'll play a key role in shaping how the institute tells its story — creating and sharing inspiring content that reflects our work with nature, community, and transformation.

This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in NGO communications, develop storytelling and media skills, and collaborate with a multicultural team working toward a more sustainable planet.

Main Responsibilities

  • Help create and edit
    bilingual content (Portuguese–English)
    for social media, newsletters, and the ALUME website.
  • Support the preparation of
    press releases, presentations, and outreach materials
    for partners, sponsors, and the public.
  • Assist in developing
    stories and updates
    about ALUME's educational, ecological, and cultural projects.
  • Contribute to the institute's
    visibility and credibility
    by supporting brand consistency and message alignment.
  • Help manage the
    social media calendar
    and track engagement.
  • Participate in
    virtual meetings
    with the communications and leadership team to plan content and events.

Ideal Profile

  • Fluent in
    Portuguese and English
    (spoken and written).
  • Interested in
    sustainability, culture, education, or social impact
    .
  • Strong communication or writing skills (experience in PR or media is welcome but not required).
  • Organized, proactive, and collaborative.
  • Self-motivated, with a genuine desire to contribute to positive change.

Commitment and Benefits
