Our opportunity

We are looking for our new Landside Operations Sr Manager to join our team. Responsible for managing the team and activities in the area, ensuring the motivation and engagement of its subordinates, as well as planning and guaranteeing demands, meeting the technical and specific requirements of customers, according to agreed deadlines for delivery at the Ports, management of the available transport modes with the best cost-benefit in operations, ensuring compliance with internal KPIs and suppliers, report of the area's results, as well as the action plans of the identified deviations in the short, medium and long term.

Main responsibilities:

  • Manage the team, through guidance and motivation, feedback, distribution of tasks by competencies, performance monitoring, aiming at technical and personal development and maintenance of a positive internal climate among members. Approve training plans for the team or new employees, by surveying needs
  • Define with the immediate superior, future strategies for the development of the area, structuring and improvements of processes, evaluating the fulfillment of the current structure to the demands (personnel, training and equipment), adapting to market changes, new legislation or new products, according to the company's strategy
  • Promote operational meetings with the team and Providers, aiming to optimize resources and solve problems and improvement actions
  • Ensure the correct alignment with the CX teams in order to meet the agreed Service Level. If applicable, participate in meetings with customers when necessary
  • Act on operational deviations ensuring the least possible impact on the customer, with cost optimization
  • Manage and act on performance indicators (KPIs), involving the team and taking pertinent improvement actions
  • Ensure compliance with the annual budget of the area (expenses and revenues), predicting the needs of resources, acquisitions, replacements, consumption of materials/services and other expenses involved in the activities
  • Ensure adequate levels of use of resources for the area, establishing and promoting compliance with policies, rules, standards and procedures, through the awareness of team members, evaluating and deciding on needs and/or adoption of improvement, adequate working conditions, as well as motivating, complying with and enforcing various activities
  • Contribute to the dissemination of the company's mission, values and philosophy, through the dissemination and awareness of the organization's professionals, as well as praising issues related to conduct, discipline, respect, ethics and professionalism, aiming at the alignment of professionals with the established guidelines
  • Develop other activities with the same degree of complexity as those described above, when requested by the manager

We are looking for:

Technical Knowledge & Experience

  • 4 to 6 years of experience in Logistics and Transport, including modes such as Rail, Waterway, Road, and Cabotage
  • 4 to 6 years of experience with insurance rules in cargo transport (PGR and DDR)
  • Up to 2 years of experience in the Port and Customs Clearance branch
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in Project Management
