Finance Manager, a Chinese Packaging Company

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the Group Headquarters in managing the financial operations of the manufacturing plant in Brazil.
  2. Perform financial accounting for the daily operations of the Brazil plant, prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with local GAAP, convert statements to Group accounting standards, and support the headquarters in the preparation of consolidated financial reports.
  3. Conduct regular tax accounting and file tax returns on time in compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
  4. Review and approve business documents related to daily operations (e.g., contracts, reimbursements, payments, and other financial processes).
  5. Perform business analysis on the daily operations of the Brazilian entity and provide regular reports as required by headquarters.
  6. Monitor the daily operations of the Brazilian company, identify and report on internal control deficiencies, and propose corrective actions.
  7. Complete other tasks assigned by local management in Brazil and the Group Finance Department.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree or higher.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of finance experience, including at least 3 years of relevant financial experience in a local manufacturing company in Brazil, with the ability to independently handle financial accounting and tax filing.
  3. Proficient in local accounting policies, taxation, and commercial trade regulations.
  4. Professional proficiency in Portuguese and English as working languages.
  5. Experience in managing a team of 3 or more people.
  6. Prior experience in financial management for Chinese companies expanding overseas is preferred.
  7. Possession of professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or EA is preferred.
