Software Engineer, Latam (Fintech Engineering)

Duration:
6 months (possibility to extend)

The Team and Role:

The Fintech Engineering Team manages and delivers solutions for the constantly evolving needs of Finance and Tax teams. We are seeking an excellent engineer to help build applications in a rapid development environment with multiple internal business stakeholders and external regulatory requirements.

What You Will Do

  • Design, develop, and deliver (including post-launch support) scalable solutions to support Finance and Tax teams globally.
  • Work closely with internal business stakeholders to understand use cases and build end-to-end solutions.
  • Forge strong cross-functional relationships with business partners across various finance and engineering teams.

What You Possess

  • Strong track record in developing enterprise application integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of Java and Python.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases and experience with MySQL / Oracle / PostgreSQL.
  • Proficiency in building RESTful APIs for internal and external products.
  • Front-end skills to develop internal and external UI portals.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and QA processes.
  • Prior or current techno-functional experience in on-premise / SaaS-based ERP applications (Oracle / Workday); recent Workday Studio experience is preferable.
  • Ability to think analytically and apply logic to solve problems.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment while being detail-oriented and decisive.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with business partners, solution architects, engineers, and stakeholders.
  • Clear and concise communication skills for disseminating design decisions, trade-offs, and technical work (written and verbal).
  • Demonstrated ability to exceed expectations and serve multiple partners while delivering an outstanding experience.
