At DolarApp, we're building the future of cross-border payments in Latin America. We're hiring a
General Manager of Licensing
to lead our regulatory licensing function across multiple markets. This is a critical role that underpins our ability to grow, expand, and operate with regulatory trust.

What you'll be doing

Regulation is at the core of financial innovation - every license unlocks a new product, a new market, and thousands of new users. As our GM of Licensing, you will:

  • Define our licensing strategy
    across new product and market launches, ensuring DolarApp stays ahead of regulatory expectations.
  • Secure licenses & maintain them
    (payments, e-money, lending, FX, crypto, etc.), leading due diligence, regulatory submissions, and analytical reporting.
  • Act as our regulatory ambassador
    , building trusted, long-term relationships with regulators across jurisdictions.
  • Build and lead local licensing teams
    , hiring and managing roles such as Compliance Officers, MLROs, and CISOs.
  • Partner across the company
    working closely with founders, country GMs, legal, HR, engineering, and product to make licensing an enabler, not a blocker.

What you'll need

  • 7+ years at a top-tier consulting firm (McKinsey, Bain, BCG) or investment bank (bulge bracket), ideally with fintech/payments/banking exposure.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills - able to build trust with regulators and collaborate across legal, compliance, ops, and product.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Resourceful, pragmatic, and relentless - knows when to push, negotiate, or escalate.
  • Fluent English and Spanish; Portuguese is a plus.
