Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and bilingual Import & Export Specialist to oversee trade operations between Brazil and China. This role is critical in ensuring smooth cross-border logistics, compliance with local and international regulations, and effective communication between suppliers, customs, and stakeholders.

What will you do:

  • Manage end-to-end import and export processes between Brazil and China.
  • Communicate fluently in Chinese with Chinese suppliers, manufacturers, and partners.
  • Ensure compliance with Brazilian customs regulations, ANVISA, MAPA, and other relevant local authorities.
  • Coordinate logistics and documentation for maritime, air, and land transportation.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and trade partners.
  • Monitor trade compliance and update internal stakeholders on policy changes.
  • Negotiate terms with Chinese suppliers and Brazilian distributors.
  • Handle all import licensing, certifications, and tax-related documentation.

What makes you a good fit:

  • Bachelors degree in International Trade, Business, Logistics, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Brazil-China import/export operations.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and Portuguese (spoken and written).
  • Deep understanding of Brazilian import/export laws, taxes (II, IPI, ICMS, PIS/COFINS), and customs clearance processes.
  • Proficiency in trade documentation: BL, invoice, packing list, certificates of origin, etc.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Experience with Siscomex or other Brazilian customs systems is a plus.
