Job Summary

You will be a senior, hands-on contributor within the analytics and data platform team, playing a critical role in shaping the company's data infrastructure, analytics models, and business intelligence capabilities.

This role is designed for a senior engineer who prefers to stay close to the code, while still influencing architecture, standards, and technical direction. You'll work across ingestion, transformation, modeling, and BI, partnering closely with stakeholders across the business to enable faster, better decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • Own and contribute to the end-to-end data ecosystem, from raw data ingestion to modeled, trusted datasets powering analytics and BI.

  • Design, implement, and scale data pipelines and data warehouse infrastructure to support growing data needs.

  • Build and maintain core analytics data models, ensuring clarity, performance, and consistency of business metrics.

  • Establish and evolve the semantic layer, defining source-of-truth dimensions, measures, and shared business logic.

  • Partner with analytics, engineering, and business stakeholders to translate strategic goals into technical architecture and modeling decisions.

  • Build and extend internal data applications, services, and tools that support analytics and reporting use cases.

  • Ensure data quality, governance, monitoring, and alerting are embedded across the data stack.

  • Drive best practices for data modeling, ETL/ELT orchestration, and visualization within the team.

  • Act as a senior technical contributor and mentor, influencing architecture and best practices without formal people management.

Qualifications and Job Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering roles.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Databricks in production (Spark, Delta Lake).

  • Proven experience building and maintaining dbt models and transformations.

  • Advanced SQL skills for analytical modeling and performance optimization.

  • Solid Python experience for data processing and pipeline orchestration.

  • Experience working on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)–based data platforms.

  • Hands-on experience designing and operating ELT pipelines end to end.

  • Strong understanding of analytical data modeling and semantic layers.

  • Ability to work closely with business and analytics stakeholders to deliver trusted datasets.

  • Clear communication skills and a strong sense of data quality and ownership.
