Job DescriptionProfessional level sales position capable of supporting advanced functions on the commercial side of the business.
The position is responsible for the profitable growth of the commercial business via customer retention and growth.
The role partners with the GM to manage Team Members and requires expert knowledge of automotive systems and parts.
The ability to source from various channels including special orders, FDO, and second sources is essential.
The role also involves directing drivers to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
This is a full-time position.Primary ResponsibilitiesMaintain commercial customer relationshipsProvide GAS2 selling experience to commercial customersAchieve personal and store sales goals and service objectivesProvide day-to-day supervisory support for Team MembersCollaborate with GM on coaching and developmental needs for Team MembersDispatch drivers to ensure delivery standards are metMaintain commercial stocking programsBuild and maintain a network of second source suppliersSecondary ResponsibilitiesMaintain core bank and commercial returnsManage commercial credit accountsPartner with GM to ensure proper driver coverageSuccess FactorsFriendly communication skillsAbility to locate and stock parts efficientlySafety knowledge and skillsProficiency with inventory systems and store equipmentParts and automotive system knowledgeOperating POS and Parts lookup systemsASE P2 certification or equivalentStrong solution, project, and product recommendation skillsAbility to source from multiple channelsAdvanced selling skills for commercial customersMulti-tasking and organizational skillsEffective communication, listening, and problem-solving skillsEssential Job Skills for Success as a Commercial Parts ProKnowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic abilitiesEnglish proficiency; Spanish is a plusAbility to interpret safety rules, manuals, parts catalogs, and proceduresEffective written and oral communication skillsCompletion of Parts Knowledge AssessmentBasic math skillsProficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelStrong organizational skillsUnderstanding of commercial profitability conceptsFlexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends as neededPrior ExperienceMinimum of 3 years of automotive parts experience preferred, with proven sales ability and team leadership experience.EducationHigh school diploma or GED required.Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsASE certification preferred but not required.Physical DemandsPrimarily walking or standing; ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally; ability to perform physical tasks as described.Work EnvironmentPrimarily indoor work with occasional outdoor exposure and potential exposure to various hazards.
