About this roleWe are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team.This is a hands-on position where you'll both manage the numbers day-to-day and help design the systems that will carry the company forward.The Senior Accountant will play a key role in building out the finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, implementing strong controls, and supporting decision-making with timely analysis.Job DescriptionResponsibilities:Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledgerPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsManage cash flow, forecasts, and budgets to support company growthEnsure compliance with tax filings, audits, and regulatory requirementsImplement and improve accounting systems, policies, and proceduresPartner with leadership to track restaurant performance and profitabilityProvide detailed financial analysis and reporting to guide business decisionsRequirementsYou must have:Careful attention to detail and accuracy in financial workStrong organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environmentA proactive mindset—able to spot issues early and propose solutionsClear communication skills, both written and spokenStrong knowledge of accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets for financial modeling and reportingCollaborative approach to working with teamsMinimum QualificationsYou need:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldValid registration with the relevant professional body in your countryAt least 5–7 years of professional experience in accounting/finance, ideally including restaurant, hospitality, or retail sector experienceStrong knowledge of full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and internal controlsExperience with relevant reporting standardsAdvanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets for financial modeling and reportingStrong English communication skills (written and spoken)Preferred QualificationsNice to have:Professional certification in accounting or financeExperience working with companies in the restaurant or hospitality sectorGrowth PotentialThis role offers the opportunity to help shape the financial foundation of a growing company.As the company expands, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in building out the finance function.
