Senior Project Coordinator

To coordinate community engagement projects to ensure effective planning, implementation, collaboration with internal and external partners, and comprehensive reporting of all the projects.T This will aim to build and sustain relationships within the community, promote the organization's mission and services, and create opportunities for engagement and participation.Project Co-ordinationTo be the administrative custodian of the relevant Policy/ies, Terms of Reference, Framework that apply to the Community Engagement at MANCOSATo facilitate or ensure alignment between proposed community engagement projects with vision, mission and applicable processes at MANCOSA as well as National Development imperatives and Sustainable Development GoalsTo assist/facilitate in the compilation of reports, budgets, artefacts emanating from community engagement activitiesTo work collaboratively with MANCOSA Schools, Research Directorate and other MANCOSA Centres or Units to identify and/or support initiatives that lend themselves to 'integrated community engagement' as defined in CHE guidelines and demonstrates reciprocal benefits for the community and MANCOSATo network broadly with external (existing or potential) partners/stakeholdersTo keep abreast with scholarly debates around community engagement, transformation and quality in HETo be familiar with IT developments, within or outside of MANCOSA, that can enhance the impact of reporting frameworks for CEIdentifying community needs with affected communities through various collaborative mechanisms.Liaise with the Marketing department regarding PR exposure of CE initiativesPlanning, developing and implementing community development strategies and programsCoordinating and supervising community engagement activities and eventsNetworking and partnering with local organizations, businesses, and government agenciesApplying for and managing grants and other funding sourcesFacilitating training and development sessions for participants in community engagement initiatives.Evaluating the effectiveness of community engagement programs and initiativesMaintaining and managing records, reports, and other documentation related to community development activitiesPromoting community awareness and participation through various communication channelsResolving community-related issues and conflicts in a professional and timely mannerEnsuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to community development activitiesMeetings with Project stakeholders (both internally and externally)Establish project requirements and ensure that adherence to institutional and academic rules is maintained.Taking and circulating CE Committee meeting minutes and circulating the agenda as per applicable SOP.Facilitate travel, events and meetings' logistics, including invoices for all CE activitiesTo maintain adequate records of interactions with stakeholders including preparing meeting minutes which must be circulated within 5 working days of the meeting.Preparation of materialsTo ensure that invoicing takes place as per the agreed terms and conditions of the project and to conduct follow ups on outstanding amountsDevelop and implement community engagement strategiesOrganize and manage community events and initiativesCoordinate with volunteers and community service providersBuild and maintain positive relationships with community members and stakeholdersMonitor and report on community issues and feedbackAssist in the development of marketing materials and campaigns to promote community engagementManage social media platforms to engage with the communityWork collaboratively with internal teams to develop and implement community engagement initiativeBachelor's degree in Project Management, public administration , business administration, management or a related fieldProject management certifications: Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), project management professional (PMP) or similar3 years in a Higher Education Institution in a similar positionAn understanding and experience of the higher education environmentPossess the appropriate public speaking and presentation skillsAdministrative skills and report writing#J-*****-Ljbffr
