Enterprise Architects demonstrate deep knowledge of Salesforce technologies while understanding a customer's architecture landscape to deliver future state architecture visions and strategic roadmaps that drive business value.
The primary responsibility is to support account growth aligned with Sales leaders through customer-facing engagements and scalable programs.The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally with sales, solutions, go-to-market, product management and partners to accelerate the strategic selling efforts on prioritized accounts.
A key aspect is helping define the future of work as Salesforce customers adopt data excellence and agentic AI into their business.
This involves:Staying current with emerging technology trends and their business implicationsPossessing a strong business acumenBuilding customer architectures on Salesforce's deeply unified platform leveraging Agentforce and Data CloudGuiding customers through digital transformation initiativesCreating innovative architectures that leverage Salesforce's latest capabilitiesYour ResponsibilitiesCustomer-Centric Expertise: Engage with clients as a Salesforce customer 360 architect expert.
Craft architectures that meet unique needs and long-term business goals.
Travel to customer engagements is around 30%.
Technical Leadership: Apply broad knowledge in applications, systems, AI, data, integration, security, cloud computing, analytics, and process automation to guide transformational journeys.
Determine which Salesforce technologies to leverage in a customer's architecture landscape.Innovative Solutions: Determine the best Salesforce and third-party technologies to integrate into customer architectures, based on product knowledge, standard EA frameworks, and Salesforce EA methodologies.Industry Focus: Leverage deep industry experience to build credibility and understand unique requirements.Your ImpactTrusted Advisor: Build strong relationships with key sponsors and stakeholders including IT leaders and Chief Architects; guide their selection, implementation approaches and value realization from Salesforce solutions.Secure Trust: Demonstrate a deep understanding of the business strategy, technology landscape and industry requirements to earn prospect and customer confidence.Engagement and Enablement: Conduct executive interviews, architecture and technical workshops, ensuring customers are well-equipped to leverage Salesforce technology effectively.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with account executives, solution engineers, cloud specialists, professional services and industry advisors to drive impactful engagements.Minimum Qualifications10+ years experience in software, system or enterprise architecture disciplinesExcellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable presenting to clients from Chief Architect to VPMulti-cloud Salesforce experience and the ability to whiteboard Salesforce architectureDemonstrated success building architectural visions for clients or internally within an organizationSolid understanding of cloud-based architectures (SaaS, PaaS, multi-tenancy, multi-tier infrastructure)Solid understanding of AI technologies and enterprise data strategiesSolid understanding of typical systems from mainframes to cloud and everything in betweenSolid understanding of enterprise application integration, workflow and process orchestrationSolid understanding of security processes, standards and issues in multi-tier cloud or hybrid applicationsPreferred QualificationsUnderstanding of regional and vertical data privacy and compliance requirementsProficiency with solution selling and design thinking principlesSalesforce CertificationsAccommodationsIf you require assistance due to a disability applying for open positions, please submit a request via an Accommodations Request Form.Posting StatementSalesforce is an equal opportunity employer and maintains a policy of non-discrimination with all employees and applicants for employment.
