Overview(Fully Remote) Full-Stack Software Engineer (Python, FastAPI, MongoDB, React, TypeScript)Oleve is building a family of iconic consumer software products that enable everyone to live a better, more fulfilling, and more productive life.We're a small, focused team in NYC who've cracked the code on building and scaling products people actually want.We serve over 7M+ users globally.Role DescriptionThis is a fully remote contract role for a Full-Stack Software Engineer at Oleve, particularly those with strong backend and infrastructure skills.The Full-Stack Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications.Tasks include back-end web development using Python and FastAPI and front-end development using React and TypeScript.Additionally, the engineer will work with MongoDB databases and apply CSS for styling user interfaces.The engineer will also be involved in full-stack development activities, including participating in code reviews, debugging, and optimizing performance.You'll leap into action when critical bugs or incidents arise, building, scaling, and maintaining large-scale distributed systems to ensure problems are resolved before they affect our rapidly growing user base.If you're energized by solving puzzles and untangling complex technical challenges—and love the thrill of knowing your work directly impacts people around the globe—you'll thrive in this role.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain web applications using Python, FastAPI, MongoDB, React, and TypeScript.Back-end development with Python/FastAPI; front-end with React/TypeScript; integrate CSS for styling.Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.Respond to critical bugs or incidents; build, scale, and maintain large-scale distributed systems to ensure reliability for a global user base.Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to architecture decisions.QualificationsSolid understanding of RESTful APIs and database design principles; good UX fundamentals.Experience deploying to cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google).Proficient with Git and agile methodologies.Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to create pixel-perfect UIs.Bonus: Prior startup experience or willingness to take on multiple roles.Preferred: Prior exposure to data orchestration systems and distributed systems.What We OfferMore ownership and autonomy than anywhere else you've worked beforeFlexible fully remote work arrangements and competitive contract compensationCompany retreats at exciting locations worldwide with visa supportOpportunity to contribute to cutting-edge infrastructure impacting millions of usersCollaborative, close-knit team building iconic software for the worldSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeContractJob functionEngineering and Information TechnologyIndustriesTechnology, Information and InternetReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Oleve by 2x#J-*****-Ljbffr
