Position Summary:
Define and execute strategy and tactical plans to deliver best in class Data Center and Network Service Levels to ensure End User satisfaction and no Business disruptions.
Will manage and coach the team responsible for the daily incident requests and problem management for the global operational command center.
Defines and ensures adoption of solutions and strategies in collaborating with BT Architecture Team and ensure flawless transitions from projects delivery to operations.
Collaborate and engage with other BT and business areas to create reliable, secure, and scalable strategies and tactical plans that adhere to the audit and compliance rules governing multinational companies.
Lead, manage and develop a long-term plan for team of experts in all global infrastructure aspects (Hosting, WAN, LAN, Telephony, Cloud solutions, Cyber Security, DC facilities, cabling, computer rooms, IOT (CCTV) to best support Enterprise functions and Global operations, fostering integration and synergies and enabling their professional growth.
Lead and ensure adherence of the corporate strategy with the BT Infra Ops Command Center, seeking, planning, and proposing solutions for this purpose.
Core Functions:
- Define, adopt, and execute general mid-term and long-term strategies and tactical plans in collaboration with Infrastructure Operations Command Center Director.
- Talent management and people development on a mid-term and long-term basis ensuring succession plan and talent retention.
- Ensures that the Infra Ops Command Center team and partners address issues and problems in a timely manner to reduce any potential business disruption on a global scale.
Anticipate and act accordingly to prevent issues.
- Collaborate to create and adopt Infra Ops Command Center process to adhere to global general technology service management standards.
- Execute communication standards to properly broadcast and escalate to upper leadership ensuring alignment over critical incidents and issues.
- Ensures flawless transitions from Architecture, Project Delivery and Operations towers.
- Leverage the automation and monitoring solutions to anticipate challenges and problems and reduce time to resolve/deliver.
Skills/Experience Requirements:
- University degree preferably in IT
- Specialization degree preferably in IT/Project Management
- English proficiency.
Portuguese, and Spanish as a differential
- Minimum of 6 years in senior leadership positions and more than 15 years of experience in IT, or equivalent combo of education and experience level.
- Previous experience in leading IT Projects related to Infrastructure in a multicultural environment.
- Experience in Hybrid hosting environments
- Experience in WAN/LAN management
- Overall knowledge around SAP solutions (Hosting and securing)
- Experience in general infrastructure services
- Cyber security knowledge
