Job DescriptionThe Operational Excellence Specialist will play a key role in supporting Master Franchise and Direct Franchise partners across Latin America.This position involves providing operational guidance, financial coaching, and training to drive performance while ensuring alignment with global standards.This role requires strong leadership skills, cultural intelligence, and the ability to adapt to diverse market needs.The successful candidate will have experience in franchise operations, business consulting, or multi-unit fitness/hospitality management.Key Responsibilities:Operational Support & Coaching: Provide consultative support on day-to-day operations, financial performance, leadership development, and member experience to Master Franchise and Direct Franchise owners.Building Strong Relationships: Foster strong, collaborative relationships across culturally and linguistically diverse markets, ensuring business strategies align with global standards while adapting to local market needs.Conducting Regular Check-ins: Conduct regular check-ins and annual in-person site visits with each franchise location in the assigned LATAM territory.Providing Guidance & Resources: Offer guidance and resources to drive operational excellence and regional growth, leveraging KPI benchmarks and digital platforms to monitor and support franchise performance.Training & Leadership Development:Developing Training Sessions: Develop and deliver in-person and virtual training sessions in Portuguese (and Spanish where applicable) for franchisees and their teams, focusing on operational efficiency, member experience, and profitability.Facilitating Knowledge Sharing: Facilitate webinars, learning sessions, and peer collaboration forums to promote continuous learning and knowledge sharing in the LATAM market.Leading Onboarding Programs: Lead onboarding programs for new franchisees and gym leaders, providing a strong foundation in Gold's Gym systems, standards, and growth strategies.Championing Corporate Initiatives: Champion the rollout of corporate initiatives, tools, and new programs, ensuring cultural adaptation and consistent adoption across locations.Operational Evaluations & Brand Standards:Evaluating Gym Performance: Perform standardized gym evaluations, operational audits, and brand assessments to ensure all LATAM locations remain compliant with system standards, brand guidelines, and operational policies.Strategic Business & Financial Planning:Financial Review & Analysis: Review and interpret financial reports (P&Ls, balance sheets, KPIs) to identify trends and coach franchisees on strategies for profitability and operational improvement.Assisting Strategic Planning: Assist with strategic planning, forecasting, and staff planning tailored to the LATAM region.Market Insights & System Collaboration:Conducting Market Reviews: Conduct annual market reviews and monitor competitive activity in each territory.Sharing Benchmarking Data: Share benchmarking data, performance insights, and market intelligence with both franchisees and internal teams.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, technology, and development teams to align LATAM field strategies with broader corporate objectives.Required Skills and Qualifications:Language Fluency: Fluency in Portuguese, English, and Spanish required.Professional Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in franchise operations, business consulting, or multi-unit fitness/hospitality management.Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Exercise Science, or a related field preferred.Additional Requirements: Proven ability to lead both in-person and virtual training programs in multiple languages, strong knowledge of fitness industry operations, financial drivers, and customer experience best practices, exceptional communication, facilitation, and coaching skills, high degree of cultural intelligence, basic knowledge of gym technology platforms, and willingness and ability to travel up to 50% or more across Latin America and Caribbean.
