Associate Attorney

Our client, a respected law firm specializing in workers' compensation defense, is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join their growing team.
This position is ideal for attorneys with at least 2 years of experience in workers' compensation who are looking to build their litigation skills and grow within a supportive, collaborative environment.Key Responsibilities:Represent insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insured employers in all aspects of workers' compensation claimsDraft pleadings, legal correspondence, and case strategiesConduct depositions of applicants and medical professionalsHandle court appearances and file reviewsNegotiate settlements and lien resolutionsManage a caseload proactively from intake to resolutionOversee and mentor legal assistantsMaintain timely billing and accurate documentation through PracticeMaster and timekeeping softwareParticipate in client trainings and seminars on relevant legal updatesDevelop and maintain strong relationships with clients, co-workers, and vendorsEngage in occasional marketing and client-facing eventsQualifications:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolActive member in good standing with the California State BarMinimum 2 years of experience in workers' compensation lawStrong litigation, negotiation, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple cases independently in a deadline driven environmentTech-savvy with experience using legal practice management toolsWhat We Offer:Competitive salary and performance-based bonusesFull benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k), PTO, and paid holidaysOpportunities for continued training, mentorship, and career developmentA positive, team-oriented firm culture focused on excellence and integrity
