Sinch is looking for a Junior Data Engineer to build, maintain, and support data pipelines across our global products, utilizing innovative technologies and approaches.
The ideal candidate will have experience in SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT processes, and be proactive in solving problems and designing data pipelines that connect Sinch through data.Responsibilities:Implement high-impact initiatives in a fast-growing business, making a difference for our customers and the world;Work on data integration across various platforms and products;Develop, optimize, monitor, and maintain data pipelines for performance and quality;Identify opportunities to improve data movement pipelines;Participate in data engineering projects.Must-have skills:Strong knowledge of software development (e.g., Python, Spark, Git, CI/CD, Docker);Experience querying data and building ETL/ELT pipelines with SQL;Experience working with data lakes and data warehouses, applying best practices for structuring and storing large volumes of data;Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Dagster);Experience using Databricks;Cloud platform experience (e.g., AWS, GCP);Proficiency in English.Nice-to-have skills:Knowledge of data architectures like Data Lake, Data Mesh, Data Fabric;Experience with Data Warehouse tools such as BigQuery or Snowflake;Experience with real-time data processing and analytics;Strong communication skills for collaborating with technical and business stakeholders;Fluent in English;Interest in industry trends and adopting new technologies.Our Hiring ProcessWe follow a fair, objective, and nondiscriminatory recruitment process.
