M&A Director

###### Job DescriptionThe M&A Director is a senior level position responsible for assisting clients in strategic advisory for mergers, acquisitions and other types of financial transactions in coordination with the Investment Banking team.The overall objective of this role is to act as strategic advisor to our clients by formulating investment strategies and raising capital for clients.###### Responsibilities:Leverage past investment banking or related experience to enhance Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) execution and capital raising capabilities and contribute to building Citi's franchiseMeet revenue and other financial goals by establishing and maintaining a pipeline of episodic dealsEnsure that proposed client solutions meet or exceed internal risk and return standards, including stringent ethical standards,Anticipate future changes in the marketplaceServe as a mentor to junior Bankers, execute staffing models that support business needs and career trajectories for junior staffBuild client relationships by providing sophisticated financial solutions tailored to the clients' needs and acting as a content provider on market trendsServe as the expert on regulatory, financial and complex strategic issues relating to corporate finance transactionsAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.###### Qualifications:15+ years of relevant experienceExperience in people managementBachelor's degree in Finance or closely related areas of Business Administration preferredMaster's degree in Business Administration preferredExperience working in an investment banking institution(s)Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communicationDemonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment###### Education:Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experienceMaster's degree preferred###### Job Family Group:Institutional Banking###### Job Family:Investment BankingTime Type:Full timeCiti is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.Qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.Citigroup Inc. and its subsidiaries ("Citi") invite all qualified interested applicants to apply for career opportunities.
