This role ensures accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and scalable processes to support a growing, multi-brand food business.The Controller partners closely with leadership to provide financial insights, manage cash flow, and support operational decision-making in a fast-moving CPG environment. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable operating at both the transactional and strategic levels.This role is open to all candidates in the Philippines and all over Latin America.What You'll Be Doing:Financial Accounting & ReportingOwn the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for all entitiesPrepare and review timely and accurate financial statements including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flowEnsure proper revenue recognition, inventory accounting, COGS, and accrualsMaintain and enforce consistent accounting policies and proceduresManage the chart of accounts and general ledger structure to support brand-level and customer-level analysisInventory, Costing & Manufacturing FinanceOversee inventory accounting for raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goodsEnsure accurate standard costing and variance analysis across materials, labor, and overheadPartner with Operations to reconcile production, yields, and inventory movementsDrive accuracy and functionality of ERP systems, including KatanaMonitor and analyze margins by SKU, customer, and sales channelCash Flow, AP/AR & ControlsManage cash flow forecasting and short- and medium-term liquidity planningOversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processesImprove working capital efficiency including inventory turns, DSO, and DPOImplement and maintain strong internal controls and approval workflowsManage vendor payments, ACH and check processes, and banking relationshipsSystems, Process & ScaleOwn and optimize accounting systems and integrations including QuickBooks, ERP (Katana), and bill-pay toolsImprove automation, documentation, and repeatable finance processesPrepare the finance function for audit readiness and future growthPartner on system upgrades, implementations, and reporting enhancementsCompliance & External RelationshipsEnsure compliance with GAAP and applicable tax and regulatory requirementsCoordinate with external CPA firms on tax filings, reviews, and auditsSupport state and federal reporting requirements as applicableAssist with insurance, sales tax, and other compliance areasLeadership & Cross-Functional PartnershipManage and develop accounting staff or external resources as the business growsPartner with Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain to provide financial insightsDeliver clear financial analysis to support pricing, promotions, and customer strategyAct as a trusted financial thought partner to the CEO and leadership teamWhat We're Looking For:Excellent written and verbal English communication skillsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldCPA preferred but not required7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experienceExperience in CPG, food and beverage, manufacturing, or inventory-heavy businesses strongly preferredStrong understanding of inventory accounting, costing, and margin analysisHands-on experience with QuickBooks and ERP systemsKatana experience is a strong plusProven ability to build and scale processes in a growing or entrepreneurial environmentAvailable to work in US time zones (Graveyard shift in the Philippines)Available to start within 2 weeks from job offerTechnical Requirements:Comfortable in using time-trackers (e.g. Time Doctor)Own laptop/desktop, noise-cancelling headphones, and webcamReliable internet connection (at least 50 Mbps)Available backup equipment in cases of power and internet outagesProficiency with Microsoft Office tools and Google WorkspaceWhy You'll Love Working Here:Competitive CompensationWe offer a monthly salary based on your experience and qualifications.
