Job OverviewWe are seeking a senior cloud developer to play a foundational role in building the core platform that enables power utilities to shift from decades-old legacy systems into an AI-native future.This is a full-time, remote position requiring strong coding fundamentals, system design capability, and a mindset of a builder who thrives in a startup environment.The ideal candidate will have experience with front-end development, back-end architecture & development, AI integration, system modernization, security & compliance, and agile delivery.Key Responsibilities:Front-End Development: Design, implement, and maintain front-end applications using React, Python, and cloud-native best practicesBack-End Architecture & Development: Collaborate with AI engineers to integrate models, embeddings, and agent services into back-end systemsAI Integration: Ensure outputs are production-ready and aligned with enterprise utility requirementsSystem Modernization: Transform legacy workflows into modern, secure, scalable codebases using cloud-native engineeringSecurity & Compliance: Partner with security leaders to ensure all services adhere to stringent utility-sector regulationsAgile Delivery: Deliver features and improvements in cycles measured in weeks, balancing speed with reliabilityRequired ExperienceExcellent English communication skills5+ years of software engineering experience in SaaS or enterprise environmentsStrong proficiency in cloud-native technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality code in fast-moving teamsSolid understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL), message queues, and distributed architecturesBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fieldClear communicator, adaptable, eager to learn and grow AI capabilities over timeStrong sense of ownership and accountability in small teams
