What you'll doLead solution architecture for complex, customized, multi-technology environments — ensuring they are technically sound, commercially viable, and executable.Translate customer business requirements into fit-for-purpose, scalable solutions that balance feasibility, cost, and profitability.Own the solution lifecycle across pre-sales, proposal development, and early delivery, ensuring alignment with scope, risk management, and governance standards.Partner with sales teams to develop compelling proposals, statements of work, and customer contracts.Represent BT in strategic customer meetings, presenting solutions with impact and confidence at executive level.Collaborate with virtual cross-functional teams (sales, bid, product, delivery, and service design) to ensure end-to-end solution clarity and deliverability.Assess and manage scope changes during delivery to maintain alignment with cost, time, and quality objectives.Contribute to BT's market leadership by developing reusable solution components and accelerators, and by staying ahead of emerging trends (e.g., AI, advanced cloud, and digital workplace solutions).What we're looking forProven experience (10+ years) in pre-sales, solution architecture, or technical leadership within complex IT environments.Track record of success in large, global sales opportunities, supporting revenue growth and delivery excellence.Strong expertise in multi-domain solution design across:Digital Infrastructure (Cloud, WAN, SDWAN, LAN, Wi Fi, Security)Digital Workplace (Collaboration, Contact Centres)Emerging technologies (AI, automation)Skilled in proposal development, estimation, and scope definition, with the ability to identify risks and dependencies.Strong commercial acumen — able to balance customer needs with business objectives, protect scope, and identify cross-sell/up-sell opportunities.Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills; confident engaging with senior executives and simplifying complex concepts.A leadership mindset: proactive, accountable, and able to guide cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.A continuous improvement approach: curious, innovative, and passionate about raising the bar in solution quality and delivery.What you'll getThe chance to work with a global portfolio of strategic customers.A hybrid, flexible work environment.Competitive package with opportunities for professional growth and leadership development.Be part of a team where things just work...
