ACADEMIC PROGRAMME CO ORDINATOR: SCHOOL OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATIONListing reference:manco_******Listing status:Under ReviewApply by:9 May ****Position summaryJob category:Education and TrainingContract:Fixed Term ContractEE position:YesIntroductionMANCOSA, a DHET registered, and CHE accredited private higher education distance education provider, offering undergraduate and postgraduate business qualifications, has the following vacancy available: ACADEMIC PROGRAMME CO ORDINATOR: SCHOOL OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATIONCORE FUNCTIONS INCLUDETo offer guidance and assistance to an Academic Programme Leader with regards to a specific academic program.This position entails a variety of responsibilities geared toward ensuring the student success and academic excellence of the program, as well as assisting with the broader school with initiatives towards the growth of students and the institution.Furthermore, the position requires commitment towards supporting the management of a program, which will include the subsequent facets: Program Management and Leadership; Program Planning and Administration; Program Admission and Delivery; Stakeholder Engagement, Development, and Recognition; Program Intelligence; Programme Governance; Programme Cycle Reviews and Programme Improvement.Programme Management and Leadership (within the confines of MANCOSA's vision, mission, and strategy)To coordinate the development and continuous improvement of Programme teaching and learning and the Programme assessment strategy create a monitoring process, through the management of a tracker for the ProgrammeTo assist with measuring of graduate attributes through the coordination of engagement between the APL and students across the ProgrammeTo assist with research on opportunities to advance the school's Programme offering and school strategy (Programme growth, articulation, etc.)Programme Planning and Administration in collaboration with Institutional PlanningTo liaise with academic administrators in relation to academic readiness for each semester.To create and monitor academic administrators progress trackersTo assist the Academic Programme Leader (APL) with the recruitment and appointment of suitable academic deliverablesFacilitation of webinarsStakeholder Engagement, Development and RecognitionTo coordinate appropriate Community Engagement initiatives and activitiesTo assist with the planning and coordination of Delivery of academic events for internal and external academic staffStudent Engagement and Success in ProgrammeTo assist with aligning students with Programme specific career guidance in collaboration with Career CentreProgramme Intelligence to engage with relevant stakeholders to request information on Student assessment performance.To assist the APL with Programme benchmarking and development of new Programmes within the schoolProgramme Governance (Monitoring, Evaluation and Risk Management)To assist the APL identification and intervention for students at riskProgramme Cyclical Review – Programme Quality Monitoring)To assist with module content review and update.To assist with coordinating of data and reports that will manage all internal and external quality assurance effortsQUALIFICATIONEssential qualification: Postgraduate degree specialising in Public Administration (NQF Level 8) studying towards Masters in Public AdministrationESSENTIALMinimum 2 years' experience in higher Education/ AcademicEXPERIENCE AND SKILLSDemonstrate high-quality academic knowledgeProvide guidance in the evolving education spectrumSupporting and Co-operatingCreating and ConceptualizingOrganizing and CoordinatingAdapting and CopingReporting and AnalysisADVANTAGES2-3 years relevant Public Administration working experienceMinimum 2 years' experience in Learner Management System administration/coordinationTo demonstrate academic acumen and provide relevant expertise within the scope of Public Administration#J-*****-Ljbffr
