Regional Financial Operations Manager Job DescriptionBelo Horizonte, Brazil: A Regional Financial Operations Manager is needed to oversee financial operations and reporting for a leading mineral drilling exploration service company.The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills, leadership experience, and proficiency in English and Portuguese.Oversee regional financial operations from a financial perspective, including financial reporting, internal controls, and local statutory requirements.Achieve business targets in line with company objectives.Communicate with clients, suppliers, regulatory bodies, and external auditors to coordinate financial objectives.The successful candidate will deliver on tasks such as:Financial Efficiency & Coordination functions: Organize accounting and administrative functions across regions for cost-effectiveness and compliance.Accounting functions: Oversee financial functions including accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable collection.Financial Reporting: Direct company financial affairs and prepare complete, accurate, and timely financial reports and performance analysis.Financial Operations Reporting: Participate in weekly operations meetings and manage capex, inventory management, and related controls.Contract Review: Review proposals and contracts prior to submission to customers and develop an adequate bidding system.Internal Controls: Implement and evaluate the effectiveness of internal control procedures to attain good control over financial matters and reporting.Policy and Procedures Manual: Adhere to manual policies and consult the Corporate Controller for guidance where necessary.Staffing: Evaluate required knowledge and staffing levels to ensure meeting of corporate policies and objectives.The ideal candidate will possess:Leadership: Strong leadership qualities to deal with direct report employees, local management, and corporate management.Technical Proficiency: An accounting professional designation (or equivalent) and relevant work experience.Communication: Effective communication skills in both oral and written form.Initiative: Self-starting and taking action to achieve goals beyond what is required.Planning and Organizing: Establishing a course of action to accomplish business objectives and allocating appropriate time and resources.Computer and Systems Knowledge: A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office programs, as well as TOTVS system.
