What you will do in this role
Lead Brazilian accounting team, including hiring/onboarding, performance reviews, coaching, development, and engagement.
Ensure timely, accurate daily accounting (vendor bills, invoicing, payments, cash) while staying hands-on with entries, reconciliations, and close tasks as needed.
Ensure month-end close activities are completed on schedule and aligned with global standards, including review of balance sheet accounts (bank, payroll, fixed assets, accruals, deferred costs, taxes, AP, AR, etc.).
Assist senior accountants with record reviews, reconciliations, preparing financial statements, tax declarations, and monthly reports; cooperate with tax advisors.
Serve as a key contact for the local finance team, handling escalations and providing guidance on complex issues.
Drive financial and accounting projects at the team level, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with group policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting with active CRC; a Master's degree is desirable; MBA a plus.
Experience in accounting within a multinational environment, including proven team management.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, international setting.
Proficiency in ERP finance applications; advanced Excel skills required.
Fluency in English and Portuguese is essential.
Additional Information
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9 am–6 pm.
