Job DescriptionSkillful Linux Engineer OpportunityA global investment bank is seeking a skilled and experienced Linux infrastructure engineer to maintain and enhance the real-time data systems powering one of the world's leading trading institutions.This role will handle alert and incident management, problem resolution, and system improvements ensuring uptime and performance for global trading and data services.Key Responsibilities:Resolve Data quality issues including root cause analysis while managing internal and external vendors to resolve Data issues.Support On-call incident management problem and change managements.Ensure optimal accuracy and timeliness of Data on a real-time basis while implementing monitoring tools to detect data issues.Work closely with regional and global Market Data Infrastructure teams to share knowledge and experience enriching the team's capability and working together to provide high-quality services on Market Data.L2 Alert Management: Manage alerts requiring knowledge for resolutions creating and/or updating resolutions into knowledge base run books scripts and ITRS rules where possible.Incident Management: Manage incident lifecycle from identification to resolution ensuring mitigation of business impact in the production environment.Change Management: Manage process of making production changes to the ticker plant like mandatory updates which includes content software changes/upgrades performed by vendors or internal teams where only checkouts are necessary.Others: Release Management Event Management User support Reporting.Required Skills and Qualifications:7 years of experience in infrastructure systems or production support roles highly skilled in Linux System Administration scripting proficiency Bash and/or Python preferred.Good communication and oral and written English skills.Benefits:A dynamic future-oriented environment within a top global institution flexible working arrangements remote or hybrid options continuous learning and certification opportunities competitive salary and benefits package long-term career prospects international exposure inclusive multicultural team regular knowledge-sharing and team events.
