:The opportunityAs R&D Electrical Engineer, you will join our South America R&D Center, an organizationleading continuous research and development activities on transformers.
Specifically, youwill be part of the R&D Team in Blumenau (Brazil), and you will contribute to thedevelopment of projects related to the electrical performance of distribution transformersand contribute to the successful roadmap execution.ResponsibilitiesPropose and analyze innovative ideas in the electrical design of distribution transformers to meet the challenging technical requirements of new markets.Define Design of Experiments (DoE) to validate proposed solutions.Design and supervise the manufacturing and testing of prototypes.Lead R&D project execution, ensuring performance, timelines, and costs are within expectations.Document project progress, draw conclusions, and develop design rules based on validated solutions.Protect validated solutions through appropriate intellectual property (IP) strategies.Support fellow R&D colleagues across the global Hitachi Energy R&D community by analyzing and optimizing electrical designs in other projects.Provide technical support to factories, sales teams, and customers when needed.Uphold Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity in all activities.backgroundMaster's degree or currently pursuing a master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on power machinery.Solid knowledge in Power transformers and ElectromagnetismPreferred tools and software:Creo, COMSOL and MaxwellBackground in the energy sector or academic research is desirable.Language: English (Advanced)Availability Willingness to travel occasionally (approximately 15 days per year)Qualified individuals with a disability may request a reasonable accommodation if you are unable or limited in your ability to use or access the Hitachi Energy career site as a result of your disability.
