Electrical Engineer for Transformer Development

The successful candidate will join our R&D team in South America, leading continuous research and development activities on transformers.
Specifically, the individual will be part of the R&D Team in Blumenau (Brazil), contributing to the development of projects related to the electrical performance of distribution transformers and contributing to the successful roadmap execution.
The role requires proposing and analyzing innovative ideas in the electrical design of distribution transformers to meet challenging technical requirements of new markets.
Responsibilities include defining Design of Experiments (DoE) to validate proposed solutions, designing and supervising the manufacturing and testing of prototypes, and leading R&D project execution to ensure performance, timelines, and costs are within expectations.
The selected candidate will also document project progress, draw conclusions, develop design rules based on validated solutions, protect validated solutions through appropriate intellectual property strategies, support fellow R&D colleagues across the global community, and provide technical support to factories, sales teams, and customers when needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Master's degree or currently pursuing a master's degree in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on power machinery
- Solid knowledge in Power transformers and Electromagnetism
- Preferred tools and software: Creo, COMSOL, and Maxwell
- Background in the energy sector or academic research is desirable
- Language: English (Advanced)
Willingness to travel occasionally is required.
