**The Role**
As a highly skilled and experienced IMS DBA System Administrator you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our IMS (Information Management System) databases, ensuring their optimal performance, availability, and security.
This role involves working closely with various departments to support the company's digital transformation initiatives and improve customer engagement.
In this role, you'll m anage and maintain IMS databases, ensuring their optimal performance, availability, and security; Perform regular database backups, recovery, and disaster recovery planning; Monitor database performance and implement performance tuning measures; Collaborate with IT, marketing, and customer service departments to support digital transformation initiatives.
For IMS DBA System Administrator, the job role involves a variety of responsibilities across different areas, including i mplement and manage IMS database changes, upgrades, and patches; Develop and maintain database documentation, including data models, schemas, and procedures; Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database-related issues; Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations; Participate in on-call rotation for database support.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Experience as an IMS DBA System Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of IMS database management, including hierarchical database structures and online transaction processing (OLTP)
- Experience with IMS database performance tuning and optimization
- Familiarity with database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations
- Advanced English for working with global teams and clients
- Complete Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- Complete postgraduate degree
- Advanced Spanish
- Certification in IMS database management or related fields
- Experience with other database management systems (e.g., Db2, SQL)
