Why join us Brex is the AI-powered spend platform.We help companies spend with confidence with integrated corporate cards, banking, and global payments, plus intuitive software for travel and expenses.Tens of thousands of companies from startups to enterprises — including DoorDash, Flexport, and Compass — use Brex to proactively control spend, reduce costs, and increase efficiency on a global scale.Working at Brex allows you to push your limits, challenge the status quo, and collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the industry.We're committed to building a diverse team and inclusive culture and believe your potential should only be limited by how big you can dream.We make this a reality by empowering you with the tools, resources, and support you need to grow your career.Finance The Finance team is a strategic engine at Brex.We lead planning, forecasting, investor relations, and corporate development — partnering across the business to drive clarity and unlock opportunity.We partner across teams at Brex to ensure our business is building and planning with the same dream big goals throughout our entire organization.We're not here to report on outcomes; we shape them.If you want to influence company direction and think long-term about value creation, this is where your ownership starts.System at Brex The System team sits at the intersection of strategy, tooling, and execution.We are a hybrid team of technologists, operators, and product thinkers who design internal tools that scale with the company's ambition.This system team will focus on building internal tools, automations, and intelligent workflows in platforms like Retool and Saleforce to power every team across the company.We're building a best-in-class AI-native operations org, and this role will be instrumental in turning that vision into reality.What You'll Do As a Systems Analyst, you will play a hands-on role in building and maintaining internal systems that power Brex's operations.You'll partner cross-functionally with teams like Engineering, Operations, Data, and Product to build tools that drive scale and efficiency.Your work will be highly visible, high-impact, and deeply technical — but not in the traditional sense of engineering.You'll use JavaScript, Python, SQL, and business context to build the systems that runs Brex.Responsibilities Build, maintain, and scale internal tools using Retool, Salesforce, APIs, and custom logic Design intelligent, AI-powered workflows that improve automation and decision-making across Brex Own end-to-end delivery of internal tooling — from scoping to architecture to iteration Partner with Engineering, Operations, Data, and Product to translate business needs into scalable systems Contribute to the long-term strategy for Brex's internal platform and automation roadmap Set standards for internal tooling — including documentation, reliability, and training— and mentor others to uphold them Mentor others on our team who have an interest in growing technically Requirements 2+ years of experience in technical operations, internal tools, or systems/automation roles Fluent in JavaScript, Python, and SQL; comfortable writing and reviewing code regularly Hands-on experience building AI-driven automations (e.g., using LLM and workflow orchestration tools) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work through ambiguity with minimal guidance Excellent communication skills; able to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical partners and drive alignment across teams Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally, balancing technical tradeoffs, user needs, and business priorities Comfortable ramping up quickly on business context and cross-functional priorities Experience building internal tools or automations that support non-technical users Passionate about building for leverage — mentor other technical analysts, establish best practices, and set technical vision for internal tooling Bonus Points Experience with Salesforce (administration, configuration, or development) and Retool or similar internal tool builders Experience with data analytics like Hex, Looker, GraphQL Familiarity with modern AI coding environments (e.g., Cursor, LangChain, Replit, etc.) Background in fintech, B2B SaaS, or data-heavy operational environments Built or contributed to internal platform or systems strategy in a previous role *Note: Application must be submitted in English to be considered
