**Summary / Purpose of Position**
**To provide high-level non-promotional, scientific, medical, and technical support for Ipsen's external (Healthcare Professionals) and internal (Sales Representatives, KAMs, MAMs, Medical Function, Marketing) stakeholders.
**
**In addition, perform activities with expertise in the scientific, clinical and therapeutic area, responsible for supporting, in a non-promotional way, medical and scientific initiatives of pre-release, release and mature products where applicable.
**
**Main responsibilities / job expectations**
**Provide scientific information**:
- Respond professionally and quickly to field and external stakeholders requests for clinical information and data regarding disease-specific issues and products marketed from Ipsen, on-label or off-label, by phone, in writing and/or in person.
- Respond professionally and quickly to field and external stakeholders requests for clinical information and data regarding Ipsen's pipeline research programs and products.
**Develop and maintain knowledge**:
- Support healthcare professionals in a reactive (and proactive, where appropriate) way by providing them with scientific and clinical data in line with the appropriate Ipsen SOPs and regulatory practice in the country.
- Attend appropriate scientific congresses to interact with Health Professionals, develop knowledge in relevant therapy areas and produce congress summaries for dissemination to Health Professionals according to the appropriate Ipsen SOPs and regulatory practice in the country.
- Support teams in organizing and contributing to national and regional round tables and/or advisory panels to stimulate scientific exchange between physicians in relevant therapeutic areas in line with the medical strategy in line with the appropriate Ipsen SOPs and the country's regulatory practice.
**Provide medical support**:
- Provide scientific support for important external events, e.g. Satellite Symposium etc.
- Support Ipsen Speakers at local Ipsen scientific meetings, if requested by Healthcare Professionals, by helping them with slides preparation (if necessary) and briefings for Speakers in accordance with local regulatory practices and always in agreement with the Medical management team.
- Facilitate and support the conduct of Sponsored Studies to ensure successful testing.
- Collect and evaluate proposals for Externally Sponsored Studies in line with Ipsen's strategy and local regulatory standards.
- Gather and disseminate competitive intelligence from multiple sources.
**Regulation, Compliance and Governance**:
- Scientific support should be informed, balanced, up-to-date and in line with Ipsen ´s SOPs and local regulations.
This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining high standards of professional conduct, in line with Ipsen's Standard Operating Procedures, with the duty to ensure the company's reputation.
**Serve as a scientific/medical content consultant in developing internal Medical and Marketing strategies**
**Assist in the construction of the annual medical plan and implementation on time measured by clearly defined KPIs.
**
**Provide scientific support for Marketing and Sales initiated activities that may be promotional in nature, including**:
- Develop and/or review materials that present information related to the disease or product
- Provide patient flow from area of interest
- Develop and update scientific medical slides for internal training purposes and conduct medical training of Ipsen employees
- Participate as Medical Area staff in advisory councils initiated by other functions
**Ensure high-level Scientific Events during National Congresses or Internal Meetings**
**Keep key regulatory documents up to date such as: PPI, Clinical Dossiers, Patient Brochure.
**
**Assist in the understanding and control of internal processes regarding HCP interactions, review and approval of promotional and non-promotional materials.
**
**Provide scientific support for Patient Advocacy activities**
**Support the logistics and content development of the online publication with Ipsen procedures and international guidelines of Good Clinical Practice**
**Contact with payers in the delivery of non-promotional scientific presentations, where applicable**
**Perform AD HOC follow-up interaction in response to clinical and scientific consultations**
**Ensure your own training using Ipsen E-learning platforms**
**Maintain up-to-date database of HCPs and TLs medical profiles in compliance with Ipsen rules**
**Proactively support HCPs and Ipsen Global/Regional Clinical Operations**
**Departments in assessing potential Clinical Research sites and Researchers for Ipsen-Sponsored Studies**
**Assist in managing local studies, including performance monitoring of internal approvals and budget.
