What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Establish, maintain, and reconcile various Accounts Receivables including Payroll AR and Property Damage
Serve as a subject matter expert and tester for Accounts Receivable system processes
Develop and update desk procedures and workflows
Train other professional staff as needed
Participate in various accounting-related projects as directed
What is Required (Qualifications)
Must be eligible for appointment and have authorization to work in the United States
Background investigation clearance required before hire
Completion of minimum qualifications as specified in the Class Specification for Senior Accounting Officer (Specialist)
Ability to demonstrate relevant experience on the Examination/Employment Application (STD. 678)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience in an accounting role within a government or public service environment
Familiarity with Accounts Receivable systems and processes
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and training abilities
