OverviewITTConnect is seeking a COBOL AS/400 Support Analyst to work for a client that is a global leader in consulting, digital transformation, technology and engineering services present in nearly 50 countries.Job location: Brazil.
Work REMOTE from anywhere in the country.NOTE All communication is in English so you have to be proficient.
Please submit your resume in English or it will be rejected.We need an experienced COBOL Developer with a strong background in legacy systems and AS/400 technologies.
This role requires hands-on experience with COBOL, RPGLE, CLLE, SQLRPGLE, and DB2/400.
The ideal candidate will also have a good understanding of reporting and display files, integration systems, and preferably some exposure to accounting processes.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and enhance applications written in COBOL on IBM iSeries (AS/400).
Work with RPGLE, CLLE, SQLRPGLE, and DB2/400 to support business-critical applications.Design and maintain display files (DSPF) and reporting files (PRTF) for user interfaces and printed output.Debug and resolve issues in batch and interactive programs.Participate in the design and implementation of system integrations with third-party or internal applications.Understand and support accounting-related processes where applicable.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.Create and maintain technical documentation.RequirementsMandatory:Proficiency in COBOL development on IBM i / AS/400 and DB2/400 and SQL.Strong hands-on experience in RPGLE, CLLE, and SQLRPGLE.Experience in creating and maintaining display files (DSPF) and printer files (PRTF).
