You'll find belonging, purpose, and a team that welcomes you—because when you feel valued, you're empowered to do your best work.ResponsabilitiesDesign and lead the implementation of enterprise-grade network solutions for customers in hybrid environments.Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for complex network project architectures and configurationsDevelop and maintain technical documentation, best practices, and governance standardsDrive automation and optimization strategies to enhance operational efficiencyCollaborate with global clients and teams to deliver tailored, high-quality solutionsRequirementsStrong experience in network engineering, with a focus on expert-level roles or leadership positions in large-scale enterprise or data center environments.Proven success in designing and implementing highly available and secure networks.Core Expertise:Routing and Switching: Advanced proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting enterprise-grade switches and routers (Cisco, Juniper, Arista).
Deep knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and other advanced protocolsDatacenter Networking: Expertise in SDN (e.g., Cisco ACI, VMware NSX), fabric architectures, and multi-vendor integrationSecurity and Firewalls: Advanced knowledge of firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA) and VPNs (site-to-site, client-to-site).
Experience with IPS/IDS solutionsHigh Availability Protocols: Expertise in HSRP, VRRP, and GLBP for redundancy and fault toleranceNetwork Performance and Monitoring:Deep understanding of QoS (Quality of Service) for traffic prioritizationAdvanced experience with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Zabbix, Nagios) and network performance optimizationCloud Networking:Strong knowledge of hybrid cloud solutions, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud networkingProficiency in cloud-native network services, including load balancers, virtual gateways, and cloud security configurationsLanguage SkillsFluent English – required for high-level communication, presentations, and documentation.Intermediate Spanish – sufficient for technical discussions in global teams.EducationBachelor's degree in computer science, Telecommunications, or a related fieldAdvanced degrees (MSc, MBA) or relevant certifications are highly desirable.Preferred Skills:Expertise in automation tools (Ansible, Python, Terraform)Certifications such as CCIE, JNCIE, or similar are highly desirableFamiliarity with MPLS and SD-WAN solutionsEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
