Area Sales Manager – South America (Ink, Paint & Coatings Industry)South America (Home-based, with frequent regional travel)Reporting To:Global Sales Director / Managing DirectorPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager – South America with a strong background in selling industrial equipment and engineered solutions for the ink, paint, and coatings industry . The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of proven sales experience in capital equipment, process machinery, or industrial automation, with a solid network across the South American market.This role is responsible for developing business, managing key accounts, building distributor networks, and achieving ambitious growth targets across the region.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute regional sales strategy for South AmericaIdentify, qualify, and develop new customers and market opportunitiesManage and grow existing key accounts and strategic partnersBuild, appoint, and manage distributors and agents where applicablePromote industrial equipment and engineering solutions (e.g., mixing, dispersion, tinting, dosing, filling, automation, solvent handling, distillation, etc.)Prepare technical-commercial proposals in coordination with engineering teamsLead negotiations, close contracts, and ensure profitable order intakeMonitor market trends, competitors, and pricing strategiesAchieve annual sales, margin, and growth targetsSupport customers during project execution in cooperation with project management and service teamsRepresent the company at exhibitions, conferences, and industry events Required Experience & Qualifications Minimum 10 years of sales experience in industrial equipment or engineered systems Strong background in ink, paint, coatings, or chemical process industries Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets Technical understanding of production processes and equipment Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills Ability to work independently and manage large territoriesWillingness to travel extensively within South America Education Degree or diploma in Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Technology, or Business (preferred) Languages Fluent in Spanish or PortugueseGood working knowledge of English Key CompetenciesStrategic thinking and business development mindsetStrong communication and presentation skillsCustomer-oriented and solution-drivenHigh level of integrity and professionalismResults-driven and self-motivated What We OfferCompetitive base salaryPerformance-based commission / bonusCompany car or car allowanceDynamic working environment
