Finance Assistant

Job Description – Finance AssistantWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our finance team.
The successful candidate will support daily financial operations, assist with reporting, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
This role is ideal for someone with bookkeeping experience who is eager to develop their skills in a dynamic environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including posting invoices, payments, and journals.Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.Prepare and maintain reconciliations of bank accounts, suppliers, and other balance sheet items.Support the finance team with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.Assist with VAT returns and other compliance-related tasks.Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records in line with company policies.Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders when required.Contribute to process improvements within the finance function.RequirementsProven experience as a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, or Bookkeeper.Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and reconciliation processes.Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
Good knowledge of Excel and general IT literacy.Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.Strong organisational and time-management skills.Ability to communicate clearly in English, minimum B2 level (CEFR).
Desirable SkillsExperience with UK accounting practices and VAT compliance.Familiarity with payroll processes.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.Job Type: Full-timePay: From R$4,800.00 per month
