Job Title:Server Administrator LeadAbout the Role:We are seeking an experienced Server Administrator Lead to oversee our team's Tableau servers on various on-prem and cloud platforms.This is a remote opportunity, and the ideal candidate will have expertise in managing multiple server environments, including setup, configuration, and upgrades.Set up and configure Tableau servers on multiple platforms (AWS preferred)Experience with server parameter changes and optimizing performanceProficiency in connecting Tableau to different data sources and extracting data from these sourcesManage user permissions, security, and access within Tableau environmentsTroubleshoot Tableau performance issues and optimize dashboardsRequirements:10+ years of IT experience3+ years of hands-on experience managing Tableau ServersStrong understanding of Tableau architecture, including workbooks, data sources, extract refresh schedules, and server maintenanceKnowledge of Tableau Server features, including scheduling, content management, and server configurationExperience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) to troubleshoot data-related issuesFamiliarity with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or batch scripting for automating administrative tasksUnderstanding of data governance concepts and experience implementing data security measures in TableauKnowledge of cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS) is a plus but not requiredExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to explain and understand problems effectivelyStrong stakeholder communication skillsTime zone: Pacific Time Zone preferred, but flexibility is possibleWhat You'll Enjoy About This Role:Opportunity to work with a global leader in consulting, digital transformation, technology, and engineering servicesFlexible remote work arrangementCollaborative team environment
