Remote - Asset Resolution Counsel (Lawyer) - IndiaAbout World Business Lenders ()World Business Lenders (WBL) provides general purpose short-term real estate collateralized commercial loans to a broad customer base comprised of small and medium sized businesses throughout the United States that lack access to traditional funding.WBL services its loan portfolio and loan portfolios for third parties, specializing in the management of non-performing loan pools and REO.WBL is a U.S.-based company with a 100% remote workforce.This is a remote Contract/Consultant position.Working hours will be 9:00am-6:00pm Eastern Time, Monday through Friday.The job requires excellent oral and written command of the English language.Resumes must be submitted in English.Location: 100% Remote for Turkey, LATAM and IndiaEssential FunctionsManage and monitor a non-performing real estate collateralized commercial loan portfolio, including REO, toward most effective and efficient resolutionSupervise, train and develop Asset Resolution Department staffConduct proactive and effective portfolio management in accordance with established performance standardsMonitor and manage commercial litigation/bankruptcy/foreclosure activities, functions and deadlinesDirect/monitor/liaise with in-house and outside attorneys, collection agencies and other vendors that support the loss mitigation effortInteract with customers and their counselNegotiate and propose settlement agreements and bidding instructionsMonitor loss mitigation workout performance and loss severity trendsImplement and communicate loss mitigation decisionsMaintain delinquency and loss mitigation reporting, including trend analysis and assessmentConduct comprehensive analysis of debtors' financial position, credit status, personal background, and historical payment performanceFacilitate negotiation and conflict resolutionPerform extensive quarterly review of portfolio being managed to confirm or reassess recovery estimatesMonitor related expenses (taxes, maintenance, utilities, fees, etc.) and timely propose protective advancesParticipate in budget preparation for the Asset Resolution DepartmentOther projects and duties as assignedRequirementsLaw degree from a nationally accredited U.S. law school is a mustExperience working in commercial litigation/bankruptcy/foreclosure/real estate loss mitigationDemonstrated ability to successfully manage non-performing loan pools and REOExperience supervising, developing, and mentoring case management staffLitigation experience and familiarity with litigation management toolsStrong organization, decision-making and negotiation skillsStrong knowledge of applicable U.S. legal and regulatory guidelines, including bankruptcy and foreclosure.Experience working for a U.S. company is a mustDemonstrated analytical and reasoning skills, and innovative approach to solving both practical and theoretical problemsProficiency in all Microsoft Office applicationsStrong work ethic with ability to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environmentYou must have your own laptop or desktop to use (the company does not supply equipment)Excellent English fluency and communication skills, both written and verbalBenefitsCONTRACT/CONSULTANCY POSITIONPTO AvailableUSD salary ($**** negotiable)100% Work from homeSeniority levelEntry levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionLegalIndustriesIT Services and IT ConsultingReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at World Business Lenders, LLC by 2xWe're unlocking community knowledge in a new way.Experts add insights directly into each article, started with the help of AI.#J-*****-Ljbffr
