responsible blasting manufacturing and services worldwide.What You'll Do The Operations Manager-Brazil is responsible for operational leadership of Dyno Nobel's activities in Brazil, ensuring safe, compliant, reliable, and cost-effective operations in line with Brazilian regulations and Dyno Nobel global standards.This role provides full accountability for operational execution, field services, logistics, asset performance, and contractor management, while ensuring strict compliance with health, safety, environmental, labor, and explosives regulations applicable in Brazil.This position requires strong leadership in high-risk, regulated industrial environments, the ability to build operations from early-stage market entry, and close coordination with Engineering, HSE, Supply Chain, HR, and Commercial teams Lead all operational activities in Brazil in strict compliance with Dyno Nobel Global Standards, Brazilian legislation, and industry regulations applicable to explosives, mining, and chemicals.Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements, including Brazilian Normas Regulamentadoras (NRs), and act as the operational counterpart to the HSE / Safety Manager.Ensure compliance with explosives control and licensing requirements, including coordination with the Brazilian Army (Exército Brasileiro) and other regulatory authorities.Promote a strong Zero Harm culture, ensuring that safety is embedded in daily operations and decision-making.Ensure the safe and efficient execution of all operational activities, including: Explosives handling, storage, and usage Logistics and transportation (including hazardous materials) Drive operational excellence through performance monitoring, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.Ensure operational readiness to meet customer requirements, contractual obligations, and service levels.Lead operational risk identification and mitigation, ensuring business continuity.Oversee the operation and maintenance of plants, facilities, mobile equipment, and operational assets.Ensure asset integrity, reliability, and availability through preventive and corrective maintenance strategies.Coordinate with Engineering and PMO functions on technical support, upgrades, and improvement initiatives.Lead, develop, and supervise operational teams in Brazil, including supervisors, operators, and contractors.Ensure that workforce competencies, certifications, and training meet operational, safety, and regulatory requirements.Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement, and open communication.Act as the operational sponsor and key stakeholder for engineering projects, capital investments, and new site developments in Brazil.Support project risk assessments, operational readiness reviews, and handover to operations.Act as the main operational interface with key customers, supporting contract execution and operational performance.Coordinate closely with Commercial, Supply Chain, and Support Functions to ensure aligned execution.Represent Operations in internal governance forums and management reviews.Monitor operational costs and productivity, supporting budget control and efficiency targets.Provide regular operational performance reports to local and regional leadership.Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, reliability, quality, and cost optimization.What We're Looking For: Bachelor ´s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related discipline.Postgraduate studies in Operations, Project Management, or Business Management are desirable.Minimum ***** years of experience in operations within industrial, mining, explosives, chemical, or similarly regulated environments, including both underground and open-pit operations.Proven experience in operational leadership roles with full accountability for safety, people, and results.Strong experience operating in high-risk, regulated environments, preferably in Brazil or Latin America.Experience in start-up operations, expansions, or new market entry is highly valued.Proficiency in English, and other languages preferred (Spanish) Strong experience with ERP and operational systems (e.g., SAP), HSE platforms, and maintenance/asset management systems (CMMS), ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness.Solid experience integrating operations, engineering, and HSE, and leading projects, start-ups, and operational changes in industrial or
