Cloud Migration Engagement Manager – LATAM (Consultant Role)
Derflan, Inc. is seeking an experienced Cloud Migration Engagement Manager (officially titled Partner Sales Engagement Manager) to lead large scale cloud transformation programs across the LATAM region. This is a high impact consultant role for a seasoned enterprise IT leader with proven experience in AWS migration delivery, partner co-sell collaboration, and executive stakeholder engagement .
This is a technical leadership role focused on driving AWS cloud migrations and modernization initiatives. It is not a sales or quota carrying position. The successful candidate will bring deep AWS expertise, advanced certifications, and hands-on experience leading complex enterprise transformations from strategy through execution.
Compensation: Monthly Salary: BRL 40,000 – 45,000
Contract Duration: 12 months (with potential for extension)
What You'll Do- Lead and manage complex AWS migration and modernization projects from initial assessment through successful delivery
- Drive partner engagement with enterprise customers to accelerate workload migrations and adoption
- Collaborate closely with architects, partner technical teams, and executives to ensure technical excellence
- Develop and maintain senior stakeholder relationships (CIOs, CTOs, business leaders) to influence adoption and secure commitment
- Manage large program portfolios (200+ opportunities, scaling toward 500) with strong governance and KPI tracking
- Facilitate workshops to align business and technical teams, enabling organizational change
- Strong AWS technical background
- AWS Associate or Professional-level certifications (Solutions Architect, SysOps, DevOps, etc.)
- Deep understanding of AWS services, architecture patterns, and migration frameworks
- Ability to dive deep and articulate technical challenges, solutions, and trade-offs
- Proven experience leading large-scale AWS implementations
- Hands-on leadership of complex migration and modernization projects (not just coordination)
- Concrete examples of outcomes: workloads migrated, challenges solved, business impact delivered
- Experience managing 200+ opportunities, scaling up to 500
- Ability to engage effectively with architects, partner technical teams, and customers at scale
- Strong program governance, KPI tracking, and delivery management in complex, distributed environments
- Executive presence with the ability to earn trust in high-stakes settings
- Clear, confident communication of achievements and project outcomes
- Experience influencing senior executives (CIOs, CTOs, superintendents)
- Background in co-sell environments with AWS and global technology partners
- Strong partner alignment to accelerate migrations and adoption
- Customer obsession with the technical depth to understand customer pain points and propose AWS-native solutions
- Demonstrated ability to grow and scale programs , not just deliver point projects
- Ability to balance strategic growth (ARR, pipeline, adoption) with technical delivery execution
- Seen as a bar raiser who elevates performance across partners and teams
- 15+ years in enterprise IT and large-scale transformation
- Experience working at a global technology company (Google, Microsoft, Amazon, or similar)
- Experience with financial institutions or enterprise customers in LATAM
- Fluency in Portuguese and English (Spanish a plus)
- 13th-Month Salary (paid in two installments)
