Dow has an opportunity as an Accounting Specialist based in São Paulo (BRA). The Associate Accounting Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of accounting duties, preparing and managing monthly and quarterly account reconciliations, and owning the accounting for treasury accounting, fixed assets, and payroll activities.
**Responsibilities**:
- Helps facilitate the accounting process in monthly/quarterly closing- Accurately prepare and book monthly journal entries, including prepaid, accruals, and investments;- Diligently prepare various account reconciliations, obtain the necessary detailed transactions for the account, and investigate and correct reconciling items;- Forex analysis and account reconciliations;- Manage the accounting for treasury accounting, fixed assets, and payroll activities, including but not limited to creating and updating reports- Prepare the annual schedules;- Prepare bank account entries that are accurate and up to date;- Review the P&L miscellaneous accounts to ensure the accuracy of reporting;- Challenge the status quo, participate and support new projects that add value to the organization;-
- Prepare reconciliations;- Attend internal and external audit requests;- Manual Journal entries;- Prepare and submit external reports;- Good Interaction with Entity Accounting Leaders;- In charge of F&S Accounting process, e.g. Fixed Asset, HR accounting, and Treasury Accounting;
Qualifications:
- Bachelor´s Degree in Accounting;- Intermediate English Level;
Preferred Skills- Intermediate Spanish level - not mandatory but will be considered a plus;- Strong interpersonal relationships, teamwork, collaboration and hands-on;- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;- Strong organization and problem-solving skills;
