Summary: The Territory Manager reports to the Outside Sales Manager and works to secure business through technical support and consultative selling in the industrial automation industry. This field sales role requires a self-motivated, ambitious, technical individual who enjoys solving problems and growing a business. The territory is NE PA, ideally residing between Allentown/Bethlehem/Easton and Wilkes Barre/Scranton.

Responsibilities:

  1. Sales of automation solutions within an assigned territory.
  2. Identify and cultivate strategic relationships, conduct customer presentations.
  3. Collaborate with internal and external teams.
  4. Develop new customers through leads and business development.
  5. Follow up on quotations and persuade customers.
  6. Work independently, remain responsive to management.
  7. Facilitate sales forecasting and input into CRM (Salesforce).
  8. Become knowledgeable about product lines to serve as a resource.
  9. Make joint sales calls with factory representatives and product managers.

Requirements:

  1. Self-management and multi-tasking skills.
  2. Technical knowledge of automation products; willingness to learn.
  3. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  4. Experience with Profit 21 and Salesforce is a plus.
  5. Willingness to travel 3+ days/week within a 50-mile radius.
  6. Overnight travel for training as needed.

Education & Experience:

  1. Bachelor's degree (BS, BSME, BSEE) or equivalent experience.
  2. Mechanical and/or electro-mechanical aptitude.
  3. 2-5 years of industrial/automation sales experience preferred.
