The Territory Manager plays a key role in securing business through technical support and consultative selling in the industrial automation industry.
Main Responsibilities- Sales of automation solutions within an assigned territory
- Identify and cultivate strategic relationships, conduct customer presentations
- Collaborate with internal and external teams
- Develop new customers through leads and business development
- Follow up on quotations and persuade customers
- Work independently, remain responsive to management
- Facilitate sales forecasting and input into CRM (Salesforce)
- Self-management and multi-tasking skills
- Technical knowledge of automation products; willingness to learn
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software
- Experience with Profit 21 and Salesforce is a plus
- Willingness to travel 3+ days/week within a 50-mile radius
- Overnight travel for training as needed
- Bachelor's degree (BS, BSME, BSEE) or equivalent experience
- Mechanical and/or electro-mechanical aptitude
- 2-5 years of industrial/automation sales experience preferred
