Role reports to: HCP LIDER LATAM
What you will do
The NATIONAL DETAILING MANAGER • DETAILING FORCE is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the field sales staff, coaching sales staff on key competencies, assigning sales territories and quotas, monitoring results, maintaining and updating the business plan, and tracking sales staff performance against quota. As the Manager, you will also be responsible for establishing performance improvement plans when necessary and adjusting sales plans as appropriate to achieve goals:
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the national detailing force to achieve sales targets and increase market share.
- Develop and implement effective detailing strategies and tactics to ensure maximum product penetration and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of detailing efforts with overall business objectives.
- Provide coaching and guidance to detailing team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Monitor and analyze detailing performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve detailing effectiveness and efficiency.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business objectives and targets.
- Lead and manage the field sales team to ensure compliance with business plan and company policies.
- Provide coaching and training to sales staff on key competencies.
- Assign sales territories and quotas to staff and monitor results.
- Maintain and update the business plan covering all markets and regions.
- Provide input into sales forecast and coordinate budgets, forecasts and reports.
- Track regional expenses against budget and implement cost controls when necessary.
- Communicate marketplace trends and changes taking place and make recommendations about future courses of action necessary.
- Review market analyses to determine customer needs and volume potential.
- Establish performance improvement plans when necessary and adjust sales plans as appropriate to achieve goals.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience related to sales management.
- University/Bachelors Degree or Equivalent.
- Proven track record of achieving sales objectives and targets.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze market trends and customer needs.
- Experience in developing and implementing sales strategies.
- Ability to manage budgets and expenses.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical products and industry regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and metrics to drive performance improvement.
Desired Qualifications
- Related experience in pharmaceutical sales and detailing.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing a national detailing force.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
