São Paulo, São Paulo, Brasil Wise Tempo inteiro
**Human Resources Manager - Latin America**:
We're looking for a People Operations Lead for our Latin America region to join our People Operations Team in São Paulo. This role is a unique opportunity to have an impact on Wise's mission, grow as a people leader and help save millions more people money. This role will report to the People Operations Lead for the Americas based in Tampa, Florida.
**Your mission**:
This is an exciting opportunity to own the overall HR experience for our Brazil and Mexico employees. You'll provide important insights and sound recommendations for policy and process changes, ensuring key stakeholders are continually informed of legislation, law and regulation updates. Our mission is to assist our Leads and teams to deliver a seamless employee experience throughout the entire 'Wiser' journey for our employee (Wiser) population in our Brazil and Mexico offices.
You will also provide input regarding team goals, KPIs, efficiencies, process improvements and future optimization of our People Operations team, as well as participate by providing deliverables of local and global projects.
**Here's how you'll be contributing to People Operations**:
- Ensure compliance with labor regulations and providing advice on Brazil and Mexico HR legislation and policy
- Be the initial point of contact for employee queries and provide timely responses to your fellow Wisers
- Ensure our HR system and all employee records are up to date and correct
- Conduct vendor administration and management with our medical insurance brokers, providing up-to-date market recommendations based upon our risk appetite and Wiser population
- Act as a liaison to our payroll vendor
- Coordinate new hire onboarding tasks
- Communicate new and revised benefit and leave plans
- Maintain the digital information space (Confluence) for all Brazil-based and Mexico-based People Operations information so Wisers can obtain relevant information at all times
- Coach and upskill Leads who need guidance on employee relations matters from start to finish (e.g. conflict management, investigation, disciplinary) through an objective and analytical lens
- Provide advice to leaders from other offices, guiding them through Brazil and Mexico specific processes, systems, and benefit policies
- Provide additional support to the wider People team and other leaders with ad-hoc tasks/data queries and project-based work
**This role will give you the opportunity to**:
- Contribute towards the bi-annual planning cycles - Attend global review sessions, collate data on team performance, share ideas for improvements and lead new projects, etc.
- Create continuous improvement within the team - Partner with your global team to recommend new approaches and policy and procedure changes to co-create solutions from a global and mass customization outlook
- Maximize advisory impact and partnership - Collaborate with the People Partners (HRBPs) to share advisory data and trends to drive empowered and inclusive stakeholder relationships
- Grow as a leader - Act as a mentor and Lead to our Brazil People Operations apprentice
- Be part of our mission to make money without borders the new normal
**About you**:
- Highly experienced in HR operations in a fast paced environment
- Radiant people skills - with huge amounts of personal energy, with the ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships, and happy to be the first point-of-contact for our Wisers
- Extensive knowledge of Brazil Labor Law and employee relation procedures
- Moderate knowledge of Mexico Labor Law and employee relation procedures
- Fluent in English and Portuguese, both written and verbal. Other languages are a plus
- Honesty and reliability - able to own up to mistakes and learn from them (we all make them, after all) and reliable - someone who never breaks promises
- Customer driven - is customer centric, always thinking about how to automate and improve the Wiser experience while working smarter not harder
- Detail focused - you'll have an eye for the details and be data-oriented, using these two skills to drive informed decisions
- Adaptable - you will be as comfortable working with ambiguity as you are with certainty. We need someone who can be agile enough to respond to changing priorities, but be able to have big picture, proactive thinking for the long term path ahead
- Curiosity to learn & grow - we don't expect an expert in every HR topic at this level, but we do expect you to have a positive, can-do attitude, and a desire to learn and grow the knowledge and experience you already do have
- Ability to multitask - you must be able to handle multiple tasks - often at the same time. You'll also have the ability to start, stop, pick-up, and complete tasks on a recurring basis
**Some extra skills that would be great**:
- Strong HRIS knowledge and technical aptitude, such as familiarity with G-suite, and experience with Workday, Calabrio and/or Excel would be a plus
