Accounts Receivable Financial Specialist SKILLS, Inc. supports adults with intellectual disabilities to live and work as independently as possible. We are currently seeking a full‑time Accounts Receivable Financial Specialist (Monday–Friday with the potential for a hybrid remote schedule after 90 days) to join our established non‑profit in St. Albans, Maine. Responsibilities Manage billing to MaineCare and individuals’ time of service, reviewing authorization letters and denied claims. Post incoming payments, perform financial transactions and generate relevant reports. Work collaboratively with the leadership team, employees, vendors and customers to ensure accuracy of financial transactions. Maintain knowledgeable application of accounting principles to business operations and accounting systems. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in medical billing and/or accounts receivable. Proficiency in QuickBooks, Google Docs and Therap. Strong oral and written communication skills, experience in word processing and Excel, and strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to learn new technologies and software systems quickly, manage multiple projects simultaneously and attention to detail. Willingness to undergo extensive criminal, Adult and Child Protective Services and other reference and background checks as required. Preference for candidates with MaineCare invoicing/medical billing experience and an Associate’s degree or higher.
